Château AccomodationsThe château has 16 guest rooms in a variety of sizes and configurations. Successive renovations over the centuries have resulted in a series of unique and charming spaces. The beautifully remodeled rooms and suites, all feature private baths and some suites can sleep up to 7. Many have marble fireplaces, and some feature cozy sitting rooms and even turrets. All guests are welcome in the reception rooms and library on the second floor and meals are served in the ornate "salon des miroirs," the smaller lounge/dining room or on the colonnaded terrace overlooking the garden. Banquet and Retreat FacilitiesIn the 19th century The Count du Beauchamp replaced the existing "Ecurie" or carriage house, the barns and the stables with a group of charming stone outbuildings featuring graceful arched openings and set apart from the old chateau. He later added an "Orangerie" built in the same style facing the gardens to house his exotic plants. The "Orangerie", has been transformed into a quiet, light filled studio space for yoga and arts groups. It also accommodates up to 100 at elegant banquet dinners, meetings or parties. The "Ecurie" has been fully renovated to accommodate larger weddings and receptions out of sight and earshot from the chateau. The arched stonework and cobbled courtyard create the perfect romantic setting for elegant dining, dancing into the night or escaping for a tryst in the park. The EstateGraced with hundreds of trees, including mature sequoias, giant oaks and a beautiful double alley of plane trees, Château de St. Julien l’Ars, sits among gardens, fields and oak forests. Fruit orchards and a large kitchen garden provide seasonal produce, from wild strawberries in the early summer to apples and walnuts in the fall. The setting invites relaxation. The 56-acre grounds feature walking trails and private corners to sit and read.
