• Seven nights at the Chateau de St. Julien l`Ars

Cost: $ 2850 including air, accomodation, car & gas and transfers.

Features optional instruction, maximum free time and a show of the work you produce at the Blue Horse Gallery after the trip.

Monet's Garden painted by Vancouver BC artist, Helen Rogak

The first 8 nights will be spent in Paris with a visit to Monet's Garden and Giverny, and opportunities to visit not only the D'Orsay and Louvre but also some of the lesser known museums in the city. We share tips, directions and advice gleaned from past trips, so that you may explore on your own and in small or larger groups. Our trips are flexible to accommodate your separate needs.

Our second week will be spent in Chateau de St. Julien L'Ars near the Loire Valley. This will be our first Chateau residence for our artist vacations and it is spectacular! Rental cars will be available (including gas allowances), detailed maps of the area and no schedule. The huge kitchen will be available for preparing meals when and if we wish and our sixteen bedroom accommodation in the Chateau itself will provide a spacious, comfortable and beautiful home base for day trip explorers. No need to go far for painting and sketching as the grounds will be full of delightful subject matter and perfect for afternoon naps.

Our group size for this trip is 22 people. Airfare, accommodations, cars and gas comes to a total price of $2850.00 per person. A $350 deposit now will hold your seat with one half of the balance, $1250.00, to be paid by the end of August 2004. Payment by check or credit card will hold your place in our group. We're near our departure date so an immediate response is best—however, we will work hard to include last minute travelers if space allows.

To top off this Artist's working vacation, we always have an art exhibit at the Blue Horse Gallery in Bellingham, Washington featuring work inspired by our visit. We open our trips to artist's spouses, art-loving friends and travel companions. Dozens of people, who travel with us, return for repeat trips. Our travel style is focused on art, exploration (group or individual) and having fun—and not a fussy tour schedule.
